Acid can accelerate the deterioration of photos and paper. Acid free products usually means that they have a pH level of 7 or higher.

|
The art of decorating services with cut out paper and then coating with several layers of a clear finish.

Embossing
|
This is where you can use a combination of rubber stamps, ink and embossing powder. You then heat the powder to give a raised effect on your card making design.

Embellishment
|
Something that you embellish(decorate) your greeting cards with for example a small mulberry flower.

Eyelets
|
A metal ring fastener for lining a small hole to permit the attachment of string, cord, ribbon etc.

Paper Piecing
|
This is where you take a design, making a pattern, cutting it into smaller sections and then re-assemble it.

Quilling Paper
|
Pre cut narrow strips of thick paper in variable widths

Rubber Stamping
|
This is where a type of ink usually made from dye or pigment is applied to an image or pattern carved, moulded or vulcanised on to a sheet of rubber. The stamp is then pressed onto paper or card and a image of the carve printed. This is a very popular card making technique.

Scrapbooking

This is a hobby that is very similar to a photo album but each page usually has a theme including a backing paper, ribbons, embellishments, photo’s etc.

Vellum Paper

Clear translucent papers that are made from 100% cellulose fibre, without the use of resins or other transparentizing agents.
